This benefit is to help stop what is called 'Human Trafficking'. Human Trafficking is when women and children are sold into slavery. Some people make a lot of money by kidnapping people from their homes and selling them to work as slaves. It is a sad situation and one that we are proud to be a part of raising money and awareness for. The money raised at this concert will be used to help these people OUT of slavery AND to STOP it from happening in the future.
Details on the performance:
May 5th
7:00pm
Cultural Life Center at:
Roberts Wesleyan College
Tickets: $15 at the door
(585) 594-6008
PUSH at the Wood Library!

PUSH Physical Theatre will be performing at Wood Library in Canandiagua on March 22nd, 2007 at 12:00pm until 1:00pm. It uses any move the performer needs from these art forms to tell a story clearly usually without using words. The performer does not have to be excellent at all of the art forms, but he needs to know how to learn the move that would be the best for telling the story. In physical theatre, we communicate with our body movements and facial expressions, instead of our words. With physical theatre, you don't have to speak the same language as your audience. You can have a very international audience or an audience of people who are both hearing and deaf. Body language can be understood by the entire audience. I suppose you could ask if blind people could be a part of the audience. I remember one audience member that was blind comment to one of us that the music we selected was wonderful to listen to. The other thing he said was that instead of seeing the show, he could feel the show. He sensed the energy of the people in the room. He could feel the emotions the audience felt as they watched the show. Wow! That was something new we learned that night. That was a performance we did in England.
Heather Stevenson
